本局的辦事細則由本局擬訂，並送經濟部核定。

本條例自公布日起施行。

經濟部商品檢驗局負責辦理多項商品檢驗與相關檢疫事項。

本局設三組及檢驗處，並可分科辦事。

第五條至第七條所定各職稱人員，其職位職系應依公務職位分類法及職系說明書，從指定及其他相關職系中選用。

本局可以在各省、市、縣的農工產品產銷地區及重要港口、機場設置檢驗分局或檢驗所。
