自殺防治法

This provision states that the law is enacted to strengthen suicide prevention, protect life and public safety, and promote respect for the value of life.

中央主管機關應設置或委託辦理免付費的二十四小時自殺防治緊急諮詢電話。

中央主管機關要建立自殺防治通報系統；指定人員在知悉有自殺行為情事時應辦理通報；地方主管機關接獲通報後要立即處理，必要時可自行或委請其他機關團體做關懷訪視。

各級主管機關應建立機制，以降低民眾取得高致命性自殺工具或實施高致命性自殺方法的機會。

直轄市、縣（市）主管機關應為防止自殺行為人再自殺，提供本人及其親友的心理輔導、醫療、社會福利、就學或就業資源轉介。

在關懷訪視時，直轄市、縣（市）主管機關或受委請的機關（構）或團體可以請求相關機關（構）協助；被請求者應配合。

相關機關、學校、法人、機構、團體及業務人員在執行本法相關業務時，必須保密自殺行為人及其親友的個人資料，不得無故洩漏。

Media and publications must not report or record material that teaches suicide methods, encourages suicide, describes specific suicide cases in detail, shows suicide-inducing content, or gives sales information for toxic or other lethal suicide tools.

違反前條規定時，廣播、電視事業或其他媒體相關人員可能被處罰鍰，並須在期限內改正、移除內容或下架；逾期不履行者，可能按次處罰。

The central competent authority is empowered to prescribe the enforcement rules for this Act.

This law takes effect on the date it is promulgated.

This provision defines the competent authority: the central authority is the Ministry of Health and Welfare, municipalities use the municipal government, and counties/cities use the county/city government.

Suicide prevention should be carried out using a social-wide resource investment strategy based on individual, family, and social factors.

中央主管機關應設立跨部會自殺防治諮詢會。

直轄市、縣（市）主管機關應設跨單位自殺防治會，並可自行訂定其組成、任務、議事程序及其他應遵行事項。

各機關、學校、法人、機構及團體應配合主管機關推動自殺防治，辦理教育並提供心理諮詢管道；主管機關在必要時也可以請求協助、提供資料，並補助相關費用。

各級政府每年要編列自殺防治經費並執行本法相關事項；中央主管機關要對推行自殺防治方案績效優良的直轄市、縣（市）主管機關給予獎勵。

直轄市、縣（市）主管機關應設置自殺防治相關人力並提升其專業技能；中央主管機關應訂定相關資格、訓練、課程等辦法，必要時還要補助地方主管機關。

The central competent authority must prepare a national suicide prevention guideline and implement it after approval by the Executive Yuan.
