公務人員升官等考試法

This provision states that the law was made under Article 23, paragraph 2 of the Civil Service Examination Act.

For certain customs, police, and transport personnel with separate grade rules, the Examination Yuan sets the promotion exam rules.

升官等考試每年或隔年舉行一次。

本法的施行細則由考試院訂定。

This provision says the Act takes effect on the date it is promulgated.

This provision defines “civil service promotion-grade examinations” and says they are divided into senior and recommended grades. Senior-grade examinations may be held no more than three times within five years after the amended provision takes effect.

符合指定資格的人，可以參加簡任升官等考試。

符合列明資格之一的人，可以應薦任升官等考試。

現職人員報考升官等考試，原則上只能報考現任或曾任職系的類科；某些特定人員還只能報考經銓敘審定的指定職系類科，技術類科另要求具備相應專門職業證書。

考試院可決定升官等考試的類科、應試科目和考試方式；筆試以外的方式原則上要採兩種以上，簡任升官等考試還要再加採一到二種方式。

For current personnel, the promotion exam total score is calculated partly from performance appraisal scores when the specified recent three-year appraisal grades are met; otherwise, only the exam score is used.

Certain current staff on approved leave without pay who study related subjects may have their thesis or academic results counted as performance appraisal scores after reevaluation, but only up to three years.

升官等考試的錄取人數上限為全程到考人數的33%，小數點要進位；總成績未滿50分、筆試有一科零分，或特定科目未達最低分數者，不予錄取。
