About this statute

A decree obtained in courts of Kenya, Malawi or Tanzania may be transferred to the High Court of Uganda or its subordinate courts for execution as if it had been originally obtained there. Section provides for endorsement and execution of the warrant. A High Court judge or magistrate who requests an arrest must take security from the plaintiff and must indemnify the foreign court for costs, charges and expenses. Fees for any process or proceeding under this Act are to be those fixed by the High Court with the approval of the Minister. The Minister may, by statutory order, extend this Act's provisions to decrees or warrants of other Commonwealth countries.
