About this statute
Provides definitions: "cattle", "currency point", and "veterinary officer" for this Act. Persons must not cause or permit their cattle to graze on land where a veterinary officer or district administration has made an order prohibiting grazing; veterinary officers and district administrations may make orders (including prescribing maximum numbers of cattle). Veterinary officers or the district administration may impound cattle grazing contrary to section 2; if not claimed within six days those cattle may be sold and the proceeds disposed of as the Minister directs; owners who reclaim cattle before six days may have some animals retained as security for fines or costs.
