Statute overview

About this statute

This Part sets rules for state pension and bereavement support payment, including who is entitled, how rates are set, and when payments can be stopped, deferred, or adjusted. This provision amends pensions legislation, including trustee restrictions, Authority procedures, statutory-instrument rules, and state pension transition rules. The Secretary of State must review prices each tax year and, if prices have risen, generally make an order setting the increase percentage, unless the effect would be inconsiderable. The text also gives the transferee a credit of the shared weekly amount and defines transfer-related terms. This provision makes wide-ranging pension and social security amendments, including repeals, new definitions, and new regulatory powers. This provision is a list of commencement and amendment notes for parts of the Pensions Act 2014 and related schedules.
