Section 12-15-306 Removing a Child from the Custody of a Parent, Legal Guardian, or Legal Custodian.

A law enforcement officer may remove a child from a parent’s, guardian’s, or custodian’s custody if there are reasonable grounds to believe the child is in danger, ill or injured, or lacks suitable care. The person who removes the child must immediately deliver the child to the Department of Human Resources.
