Section 16-16A-4 Distribution Considerations.

The Authority shall distribute the BRAC Distribution to a local school district based upon the percentage of BRAC Impacted Area employees living in a city or county served by that school district, in accordance with the following: (1) Prior to the distribution of any bond proceeds authorized by this chapter, the City of Huntsville Federal Building Authority shall obtain from the Garrison the number of employees at Redstone Arsenal and the location of their residence based upon the Zip Codes of the employees. (2) The Authority shall allocate the portion of the BRAC Distributions to each city or county school district where the employees reside based on the percentage calculated by the City of Huntsville Federal Building Authority using the information referred to in subdivision (1). If an employee resides in a city, any bond proceeds shall be allocated to the school district of the city of residence. If an employee does not reside in a city, any bond proceeds shall be allocated to the county school district in which the employee resides.
