Section 12-17-194 Commencing Prosecution on Own Affidavit.
A district attorney who starts a prosecution for a criminal offense on his own affidavit can be fined at least $50 if convicted, unless the case involves his person or property, the revenue laws, the prohibition laws, or the affidavit is based on personal knowledge.
