Section 12-1-5 Procedure When Bill to Increase or Decrease Number of Judges or Change Boundaries of Circuit or District Introduced in Legislature.
When a bill would change the number of circuit or district judges or alter circuit or district boundaries, the Supreme Court must send recommendations within three weeks, and the House clerk and state Senate secretary must immediately file a certified copy of the bill with the Supreme Court clerk.
