Section 6-6-261 Execution Upon Judgment.
When a judgment is enforced over disputed property, the successful party may keep it if already in possession, or the sheriff must take and deliver it; if the property cannot be obtained, the sheriff must collect its value, damages, and costs from the losing party and any sureties.
