About this statute
The Administrative Office of Courts may apply for and receive grants or other assistance and may coordinate or conduct studies and projects to improve the administration of justice. Its officials, officers, employees, and the Administrative Director of Courts must be appointed, employed, serve, and be compensated under Section 12-2-30, even if paid with grant funds. The Chief Justice has the same authority over use of the office’s people and money, and the same direction authority, as set out in Section 12-2-30.
