About this statute

A nursing home may not operate unless it is supervised by a currently licensed or provisional administrator, and people may not hold themselves out as nursing home administrators unless licensed. If the administrator dies, resigns, becomes incapacitated, or loses the license, the managers must notify the board and the licensing agency right away and replace the administrator within up to 180 days; the board may issue an emergency permit during that period.
