Section 34-23-186 Extrapolation.
An auditing entity must not use extrapolation to calculate penalties or chargeback/recoupment amounts, except when federal requirements or federal plans require it. In a pharmacy audit, the auditing entity also must not pay an employee or contractor based on the amount claimed or recouped.
