(c) A principal and contract principal shall perform all other duties assigned by the chief executive officer, consistent with the policies of the employing board and the law. (d) A principal and contract principal shall make written advisory recommendations to the chief executive officer regarding the appointment, assignment, promotion, transfer, and cancellation of the contracts of all personnel assigned to any school or campus under his or her responsibility. If the recommendation of a principal and contract principal regarding an appointment, assignment, or promotion is rejected, the principal and contract principal shall submit a second recommendation regarding that appointment, assignment, or promotion, subject to this chapter and board policy. These advisory recommendations shall not be binding upon the chief executive officer, and the chief executive officer shall have final authority for all personnel assignments within the applicable school system.
