Section 45-39-40.16 Temporary License.

(a) The board may issue a temporary license to any person who otherwise is subject to examination, as provided in this article, upon documentary or other satisfactory evidence that the applicant therefor has the necessary qualifications to practice any one or any combination of practices of barbering for which a temporary license is applied; provided, that such application for a temporary license is accompanied by an application for an examination as provided in this article and the necessary fee therefor as provided in Section 45-39-40.12. (b) Satisfactory documentary or other evidence of qualification for examination as herein provided shall consist of appropriate certification from the administrative head of the school of barbering, barbershop, or the public school or trade school at which the applicant received his or her training. (c) Each temporary license shall state the date of expiration, and the temporary license shall after such date be void and of no effect. A temporary license shall in no event remain in force beyond the date of the next regular meeting of the board at which examinations are held and until the results of the applicant’s examination are announced.
