11-903 - City or town joining or withdrawing from county library district 11-903 . City or town joining or withdrawing from county library district A. After the establishment of a free county library district as provided in this article and title 48, chapter 24, article 1, the governing body of any incorporated city or town in the county may notify the board of supervisors that the city or town desires to become a part of the county free library district, and thereafter the city or town shall be a part thereof and its inhabitants shall be entitled to the benefits of the county free library. B. The governing body of an incorporated city or town in the county may at any time notify the board that the city or town no longer desires to be a part of the county free library district, and thereafter the city or town shall cease to participate in the benefits of the county free library. C. The governing body of an incorporated town or city shall publish once each week for three successive weeks, prior either to giving or to withdrawing such notice, notice of its contemplated action in a newspaper of general circulation in the city or town, designated by the governing body, giving therein the date, place and time of the meeting at which such action is proposed to be taken.
