11-906 - Board of library examiners; membership; compensation; powers and duties 11-906 . Board of library examiners; membership; compensation; powers and duties A. The board of library examiners is established consisting of the director of the Arizona state library, archives and public records, who shall serve as the ex officio chairperson, the librarian of the university of Arizona, the librarian of the Phoenix public library and two county librarians who are appointed by the director of the Arizona state library, archives and public records. Â The county librarian members shall serve one year terms, and the director shall appoint the county librarian members on a rotating basis to represent each county free library. B. The members of the board may not receive compensation for their services except actual and necessary travel expenses which shall be paid from the general fund. C. The board shall pass on the qualifications of persons desiring to become county librarians and, in writing, may adopt rules not inconsistent with law for its government and to carry out the purposes of this article.
