ARS § 12-2007
If a writ return is defective, the court may order another return. Once a full return is made, the court or judge must hear the matter and decide it by affirming, annulling, or modifying the lower proceedings. The clerk must send a certified copy of the judgment to the lower tribunal, board, or officer.
