28-874 - Additional parking rules 28-874 . Additional parking rules A. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a person who stops or parks a vehicle on a roadway where there are adjacent curbs shall stop or park the vehicle with its right-hand wheels parallel to and within eighteen inches of the right-hand curb. B. A local authority may permit by ordinance: 1. Parking of vehicles with the left-hand wheels adjacent to and within eighteen inches of the left-hand curb of a one-way roadway. 2. Angle parking on any roadway, except that a local authority shall not permit angle parking on any federal aid highway or state highway unless the director has determined by resolution or order that the roadway is of sufficient width to permit angle parking without interfering with the free movement of traffic. C. With respect to highways under the director's jurisdiction, the director may place signs prohibiting or restricting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles on any highway where in the director's opinion the stopping, standing or parking is dangerous to those using the highway or where the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles would unduly interfere with the free movement of traffic on the highway. The signs shall be official signs, and a person shall not stop, stand or park a vehicle in violation of the restrictions stated on the signs.
