3-629 - Oleomargarine; sale; representation as butter or milk product prohibited 3-629 . Oleomargarine; sale; representation as butter or milk product prohibited A. It is unlawful to sell or serve oleomargarine or renovated or processed butter in a manner other than prescribed by federal law. B. No person shall sell or take orders for the delivery of oleomargarine or any substance designed to be used as a substitute for butter or other milk product, under the name of butter or other milk product, or under the pretense that it is butter or other milk product. C. No person shall sell or offer for sale any substance designed to be used as a substitute for butter or other milk product unless it is distinctly labeled at the time of the sale. D. No person shall use in any manner in connection or association with the sale or advertisement of oleomargarine or other substance designed to be used as a substitute for butter, the word "butterine," "creamery" or "dairy," or the representation of a cow or of any breed of dairy cattle, or any combination of the words and representations, or any other word or symbol designed to convey the impression that the substance is a product of milk or cream.
