To work as a radiologist assistant, a person must apply for a certificate. The department must adopt implementing rules. Certified radiologist assistants may perform listed procedures under direct radiologist supervision, but they may not interpret images, diagnose, or prescribe. Uncertified persons may not perform the listed procedures or hold themselves out as radiologist assistants, with limited exceptions.
