About this statute

This provision creates a counselor licensure compact and sets rules for member-state participation, interstate practice, telehealth practice, reporting, data sharing, and commission rulemaking. Member-state laws that do not conflict with the compact may still be enforced; conflicting laws are overridden to the extent of the conflict, commission rules and bylaws are binding on member states, and compact provisions that exceed a member state’s constitutional limits are ineffective to that extent.
