36-593 - Adult developmental homes; child developmental homes; provisional licenses 36-593 . Adult developmental homes; child developmental homes; provisional licenses A. The department may issue a provisional license to a licensee who is seeking renewal of a regular license and who is temporarily unable to conform to standards of care established by the department if the deficiencies can be remedied within three months. B. A provisional license is valid for three months and shall not be renewed. C. The department shall not issue a provisional license if conditions exist that could endanger the health, safety or welfare of clients residing in the setting. D. If the department determines that the licensee meets the standards established by the department, the department shall issue a regular license. The regular license is valid for one year from the date the department issued the provisional license.
