The department of administration must create and run a risk management and loss control program for state departments and related bodies, and state agencies must cooperate and reply with requested information.
41-623 - Risk management and loss control 41-623 . Risk management and loss control A. The department of administration shall promulgate rules and regulations to initiate and implement a risk management and loss control program for all state departments, agencies, boards and commissions for the purpose of reducing risks, accidents and property liability and workers' compensation losses. B. The department of administration shall annually provide each state department, agency, board and commission with a report of property, liability and workers' compensation claims filed and an analysis of the cause of loss. State departments, agencies, boards and commissions shall submit a reply to the department of administration outlining plans to correct property and liability exposures to loss. C. The department of administration shall annually issue to the governor and legislature a summary report of property, liability and workers' compensation losses incurred by state departments, agencies, boards and commissions. The report shall include loss control plans and recommendations for corrective action. D. All state departments, agencies, boards and commissions shall cooperate with, assist and provide requested information to the department of administration in the initiation, implementation and operation of the risk management and loss control program. E. Concurrent with the commencement of planning for the construction, alteration or additions to state-owned or leased buildings, and the purchase of specialized personal property, the department of administration shall be consulted for the purpose of implementing the risk management and loss control program and to assure compliance with generally accepted loss control practices.
