Florida Statutes § 308.02 — Bond; penalties.
Before getting the license, the shipping master must post a $2,000 bond with two sureties, approved by the mayor. A shipping master who helps harbor, hide, or entice away a marine or seaman, or encourages mutiny or disobedience, can forfeit between $100 and $1,000.
