Florida Statutes § 77.22 — Before judgment; effect of judgment for defendant.
If the defendant wins, the plaintiff must pay garnishment costs and the money or property held becomes the defendant’s benefit and control; if the plaintiff dismisses or loses at trial, the garnishment judgment becomes void and the garnishee can recover costs from the plaintiff.
