Florida Statutes § 318.34 — Qualifications.
Applicants for civil traffic court hearing officer positions must be in good standing with The Florida Bar and complete a Florida Supreme Court–approved 40-hour training program. Hearing officers must also complete an approved 4-hour continuing education program every year.
