Iowa Code § 144B.11 - Prohibited practices
Certain health care and insurance entities may not require a durable power of attorney for health care as a condition of admission, treatment, or insurance, and life insurance cannot be impaired because health care is withheld or withdrawn under an attorney-in-fact’s direction.
