Iowa Code § 329.6 - Zoning powers

If a municipality that owns or controls an airport near an airport hazard area does not act within 60 days after the department’s demand, the department may ask court to establish zoning regulations for that hazard area. The department may also sue in equity to stop airport hazards that violate zoning rules.
