Iowa Code § 357.29 - Subdistricts
Interested parties may petition for a subdistrict when desired extensions cost up to $5,000, and the board of supervisors then proceeds like a new district and may include territory not originally assessed. The board also may alter district boundaries before notice of the election is posted or published.
