Iowa Code § 522B.2 - License required
A person may not sell, solicit, or negotiate insurance in this state unless licensed as an insurance producer for that line of insurance. A person who offers insurance-related advice, counsel, or services to the public for a fee or commission must also be licensed as an insurance producer.
