Iowa Code § 62.15 - Amendment — continuance
If causes are found insufficient, they may be amended. The incumbent may get an adjournment if they swear they have an answer to the amended causes and need more time. If no amendment is sought or made, or if prosecution fails entirely, the proceedings may be dismissed.
