Iowa Code § 677.13 - Nonacceptance — effect
If the plaintiff rejects the offer, the plaintiff must prove damages as if no offer had been made, the offer cannot be used or mentioned at trial, and the defendant may recover defense costs if the plaintiff’s recovery does not exceed the offer.
