Iowa Code § 904.707 - Apprenticeship programs — limitations
An inmate cannot be enrolled in an apprenticeship program if a felony conviction would stop the inmate from getting the needed license. Before enrolling an inmate when disqualification is possible, the department of corrections must get written confirmation from the appropriate licensing board.
