Kansas Statutes § 84-3-419 Instrument signed for accommodation.

An accommodation party may sign a negotiable instrument and, in general, must pay it in the capacity signed; if the signature is a collection guarantee, payment is owed only after specified collection failures. The accommodation party who pays gets reimbursement and enforcement rights against the accommodated party.
