§6. Duties of commissioner A. The commissioner of administration shall render all required staff services in connection with the functions of his office and shall advise and assist the governor and the committees of the legislature in their consideration of budget matters. B. From the time of transmission of the executive budget to the legislature until the appropriation bills have been finally acted upon, the commissioner of administration shall stand ready to assist the legislature and the House Committee on Appropriations and the Senate Committee on Finance and shall assign one or more employees familiar with the contents of the executive budget, as may be required, to the work of each committee.
