§463.33. Street cruiser license plates A. Subject to the design requirements of R.S. 47:463(A)(3), the commissioner shall establish and issue special street cruiser license plates for motor vehicles defined as street cruisers under the provisions of R.S. 32:455. These license plates shall be used in lieu of the regular motor vehicle registration license plates, if issued prior to August 15, 1995, shall be issued for the life of the vehicle. B. The fee for issuing the street cruiser license plate provided for in this Section shall be a one-time fee of twenty-five dollars for each plate, which shall be in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration license fee. C. The special license plate shall bear the inscription "Street Cruiser". Additionally, such plates shall have displayed thereon the word "Louisiana" and the vehicle number assigned to the vehicle by the commissioner and shall be a design approved by the commissioner. D. The commissioner shall adopt administrative rules to provide for the implementation of this Section. Acts 1992, No. 189, §2, eff. June 8, 1992; Acts 1995, No. 728, §1; Acts 1997, No. 1131, §2, eff.
