§422. Prerequisites to adoption of resolution decreasing area of operation A. The governing body of each of the parishes or municipalities in the area of operation of the regional or consolidated housing authority and the commissioners of the authority shall adopt a resolution pursuant to R.S. 40:421 if both: (1) The governing body of each of the parishes to remain in the area of operation of the authority and the commissioners of the authority find that, because of facts arising or determined subsequent to the time when the area first included the parish or municipality to be excluded, the regional or consolidated housing authority would be a more efficient or economical administrative unit to carry out the purposes of this Part if the parish or municipality was excluded from the area of operation thereof. (2) The governing body of each parish or municipality to be excluded and the commissioners of the authority each also find that, because of the changed facts, the purposes of this Part could be carried out more efficiently or economically if the area of operation of the regional or consolidated housing authority did not include it. B. However, no such resolution shall be adopted unless and until R.S. 40:423 and 424 have been complied with. Acts 1997, No. 1188, §1.
