§3134. Powers and duties of the secretary and executive director A. The secretary shall administer and enforce the provisions of this Chapter relating to duties and activities of the office, the board, and advisory subcommittees of the board. B. The secretary may execute partnerships, joint ventures, memoranda of understanding, cooperative endeavors, or other similar relationships with local, state, or federal public entities, foreign governments, nongovernmental organizations, or private entities and business interests to implement the master plan. Such state public entities shall include but are not limited to the following: the Department of Transportation and Development, the Department of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism. C. The executive director of the office of international commerce shall report directly to the secretary. D. The secretary and the executive director shall represent the board in all matters. E. The secretary and the executive director shall represent the policy and viewpoints of the office at foreign, state, regional, and local levels. Acts 2012, No. 687, §2, eff. June 7, 2012.
