CHAPTER 42. AGENCY COOPERATION IN PREVENTION OF TEEN PREGNANCY AND SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES §2551. Declaration of purpose A. The legislature hereby recognizes all of the following: (1) It is imperative to protect and assist the youth of Louisiana if this state is to move forward and realize its potential in the future. (2) It is imperative to reduce the rate of teen pregnancies and prevent the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases among the youth of Louisiana in order to build stronger families and a healthier future for Louisiana. (3) In order to improve the lives of Louisiana families and ensure a better future for youth of Louisiana, it is imperative for state agencies to collaborate to create a comprehensive strategy to reduce the rate of teen pregnancies and prevent the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases among the youth of Louisiana.
