§1810. Small business development and management institute; Southern University at New Orleans; authority to operate A. Southern University at New Orleans is hereby authorized to establish and operate a small business development and management institute which may aid and assist small businesses in solving problems inherent in such enterprises. The establishment and operation of the institute shall be subject to the constitutional authority of the Board of Regents and the Board of Supervisors of Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College. B. Southern University at New Orleans is further authorized to utilize all of its colleges or departments in operating the institute and providing needed services. C. The administration of Southern University at New Orleans shall develop criteria to be used in determining what businesses are small businesses for purposes of qualification for aid and services.
