§2843. Internship certificate A. Upon approval by the board, the secretary shall issue an internship certificate to a trainee provided he applies for such a certificate and pays the required fee within ten days prior to the commencement of his internship. The application shall contain such information as may be required by the board. B. An internship certificate shall be valid for the term of twelve months from the date of issue. Such certificate may be extended or renewed for any term not to exceed six months upon demonstrating good cause to the board. C. A trainee shall not be entitled to hold an internship after the expiration of the original twelve-month period and six-month extension, if such extension is granted by the board, until twelve months have elapsed from the date of expiration of the last internship certificate held by the trainee.
