§1402. Officers; meetings; quorum; removal A. The commission shall elect from among its members a president, a vice president, a secretary, and a treasurer and prescribe their duties. At the option of the commission, the offices of the secretary and the treasurer may be held by one person. B. The commission shall meet in regular session once each month and shall also meet in special session at the call of the president or upon the written request of three of the commissioners. Four members of the commission shall constitute a quorum and all actions or resolutions must be approved by the affirmative vote of at least four commissioners. The commission shall prescribe rules to govern its meetings and shall fix the place at which its meetings will be held. C. Members who fail to attend three or more consecutive regular meetings may be removed by a majority of commission members present at a regular or special meeting of the commission. Filling vacancies created by removal shall be pursuant to the provisions of R.S. 34:1401(A) and (B). Acts 1998, 1st Ex. Sess., No. 45, §1; Acts 2011, No. 55, §1, eff. June 20, 2011.
