§4. Election, tenure, oath of office, salary of commissioner A. The commissioner of agriculture shall be elected by the qualified electors at each general state election held for the governor and other state officers. He shall hold office for a term of four years. In case of a vacancy in the office, the governor, with consent of the senate, shall fill the vacancy for the unexpired term as provided by the constitution. B. The commissioner shall take the oath prescribed for other state officers. C. Repealed by Acts 1995, No. 846, §4, eff. Jan. 8, 1996.
