§1600. Disclosure; required A. At the time a written application for insurance is made, the financial institution shall obtain a separate written statement, signed by the customer, acknowledging that the customer has received and understands the following disclosures: (1) - (3) Repealed by Acts 2004, No. 350, §2. (4) The customer is not required to purchase insurance through the financial institution, and the customer's choice of another insurance provider will not affect the financial institution's credit decision or credit terms in any way. B. The financial institution shall give the customer the disclosure provided in Subsection A of this Section when it first informs the customer that required insurance is available from the financial institution if: (1) Insurance is required in order to obtain a loan. (2) Loan approval is contingent on the customer's obtaining acceptable insurance. (3) The customer obtained insurance required in connection with the loan from another insurance provider and the financial institution is soliciting the sale of insurance to replace the customer's existing coverage.
