§2069. Required information; exceptions A.(1) All agencies of all branches of government and all units of local government shall cooperate with the council in providing and maintaining information required by the council. (2) Should the council determine by a majority vote that an agency has failed to comply with this Subsection after notice to the agency and an opportunity to be heard, the council shall notify the division of administration of such noncompliance. Upon such notice, the division of administration shall order and cause the salary of the agency head and those persons employed in unclassified positions in such agency who are immediately inferior to him in rank, who are subject to his supervision or direction, and who are directly responsible to him for compliance with this Subsection to be withheld until notified by the council that compliance has occurred. (3) If an agency submits, in writing, to the council a reasonable explanation of why it is unable to comply with the council's request for information, it shall be considered to have complied with this Section. B. No agency or unit of local government shall be required to furnish information or data protected by the confidentiality provisions of Part I of Chapter 1 of Title 44 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, or data protected by contract or licensing agreements. However, every agency and unit of local government shall provide information on such data that is required to catalogue the data. Acts 1997, No. 1, §1, eff.
