§2054. College and university athletics; NCAA and NAIA infractions, sanctions A. The Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System, the Board of Supervisors of Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, and the Board of Supervisors of Community and Technical Colleges shall adopt and implement policies, procedures, and rules to provide for the dismissal of any employee found by the National Collegiate Athletic Association or the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics to have committed a deliberate and serious infraction of its rules when such infraction results in sanctions by the association. B. Each higher education management board shall also adopt and implement policies, procedures, and rules to prohibit the hiring of any person found by the National Collegiate Athletic Association or the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics to have committed a deliberate and serious infraction of its rules when such infraction results in imposition of sanctions by the association, at any school under its respective jurisdiction for a period of five years.
