§2004. Venue A. An action under this Chapter brought by the commissioner of insurance, in that capacity, or as conservator, rehabilitator, or liquidator may be brought in the Nineteenth Judicial District Court for the parish of East Baton Rouge or any court where venue is proper under any other provision of law. B. Any action under this Chapter may also be brought in the parish where at least twenty-five percent of the policyholders of the insurer reside. C. If an action is filed in more than one venue, the court shall consolidate all such cases into one court where venue is proper.
