§393. Ex officio notaries public for the Department of Public Safety and Corrections; powers A. Any ex officio notary public appointed under the provisions of this Section shall possess those notarial powers as provided by law to administer oaths and take acknowledgments. B. Additionally, specially designated commissioned Louisiana state police officers assigned to intelligence, detectives, narcotics, or internal affairs, specially designated commissioned officers of the office of the state fire marshal, and commissioned agents of the office of alcohol and tobacco control shall have the power to administer oaths and receive sworn statements, in connection with their official duties.
